Bruce Douglas Bishop 1958-2017

Bruce D. Bishop of Moncton and formerly of Riverview, passed away at his residence on Saturday, February 18, 2017. Born in Montreal, he was the son of the late Douglas and Isobel (Green) Bishop.

Bruce had been employed with Allstate Insurance for all of his working career. He held several positions over the years, most recently as Regional PRO Administrator. He loved sports whether it be taking part in triathlons or watching Hydro plane racing and was an avid collector of coins and sports cards. Yet in was the time he spent watching his children grow up and compete in sports that was so dear to his heart, along with those cherished moments at the family cottage at Lac Sept Ile in St. Raymond, PQ.

He loved sports whether it be taking part in triathlons or watching Hydro plane racing and was an avid collector of coins and sports cards. Yet it was the time he spent watching his children grow up and compete in sports that was so dear to his heart, along with those cherished moments at the family cottage at Lac Sept Ile in St. Raymond, PQ.

He will be dearly missed by his children; Ryan and Kim both of Riverview, his companion and love, Angela Thomas and her children; Katie Thomas (Mark) and Kyle Thomas (Ashley), sister, Debra Henderson, step brother, Dan Johnston (Lynne), grandchildren; Owen and Madison, his former wife Lee, as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his step father, Jim Johnston and a step sister, Jodie.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview (869-2007) on Thursday from 3 – 5 and 7 – 9 pm, a service celebrating Bruce’s Life will take place from Cobb’s Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Friday, February 24, 2017 at 11am with The Venerable Brent Ham officiating. Donations to The NB Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetic Association would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences can be expressed at www.cobbsfuneralhome.ca
